Railsponsible is pleased to announce the launch of the Railsponsible Supplier Award 2026 and invites suppliers across the railway industry to submit their applications. Now in its ninth edition, the award continues to recognize outstanding sustainability performance and continuous improvement within the rail supply chain.
The theme for this year’s award is:
“Most Improved Sustainability Maturity”
With this focus, Railsponsible aims to highlight suppliers that have demonstrated significant and measurable progress in sustainability practices over time. Applications are welcome from companies of all sizes and maturity levels that can showcase meaningful improvements starting from a lower sustainability baseline.
The award seeks to recognize proactive and impactful initiatives across one or more sustainability dimensions, including:
- Environmental improvements, such as decarbonisation and resource efficiency
- Social progress, including labour rights and human rights initiatives
- Governance advancements through policies, responsibilities, and structured sustainability management
Applicants are encouraged to provide evidence of measurable impact, continuous development, and clear sustainability roadmaps that demonstrate their progress journey.
The winner of the Railsponsible Supplier Award 2026 will be announced during InnoTrans 2026 at the UNIFE booth in Berlin on 24 September 2026. The award offers participating suppliers valuable visibility within the rail sector and highlights innovative approaches that contribute to more sustainable railway supply chains.
Railsponsible is a collaborative initiative focused on sustainable procurement within the railway industry, bringing together operators, OEMs, suppliers, and industry associations to continuously improve sustainability practices throughout the value chain.
